(&#8230;) por vezes, h\u00e1 uma quest\u00e3o de incapacidade quase f\u00edsica de ir mais al\u00e9m, quero dizer, de fazer as obras aproximarem-se do conceito de acabado. Mas se est\u00e3o acabadas, quando acabou o \u201ccorpo a corpo, n\u00e3o tenho problema nenhum que saiam do atelier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlos Bunga parece seguir esta linha de despojamento nas obras que exp\u00f5e na exposi\u00e7\u00e3o &#8220;The Architecture of Life, Environments, Sculptures, Paintings and Films, MAAT, O artista utiliza habitualmente o cart\u00e3o prensado nas suas instala\u00e7\u00f5es, que s\u00e3o geralmente<em>&nbsp;site-specific,&nbsp;<\/em>e que tocam dom\u00ednios como a arquitectura, a escultura e a pintura &#8211;&nbsp;aquele material que associamos \u00e0s coisas ef\u00e9meras e perec\u00edveis. Geralmente em grandes dimens\u00f5es, o cart\u00e3o dilui-se nos espa\u00e7os, ou imp\u00f5e-se como seu dimensionador. As superficies deste material s\u00e3o preenchidas a cor, pelo artista, para, logo de seguida, no momento do \u201ccorpo a corpo\u201d com o material, serem cortadas e rasgadas. Bunga pinta, rasga o cart\u00e3o, liga as partes com fita adesiva. Estabelece conex\u00f5es entre as v\u00e1rias disciplinas, evidencia as ambiguidades existentes entre elas, cria sub-disciplinas. Salienta uma \u201cdial\u00e9ctica dos opostos\u201d. Por um lado, preocupa-se com o plano do suporte (o cart\u00e3o), como se se tratasse de uma pintura, por outro deixa-se absorver pela estrutura que se dilui, ou complementa, no espa\u00e7o arquitect\u00f3nico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e1 um certo despojamento em Bunga porque o artista n\u00e3o se quer fixar em nenhuma disciplina. A cataloga\u00e7\u00e3o, essa, j\u00e1 mora bem longe, no separatismo modernista. Como Cage que criara os 4 minutos e 33 segundos de sil\u00eancio, composi\u00e7\u00e3o concebida para nenhum instrumento ou combina\u00e7\u00e3o de instrumentos, o que de facto interessava era que tudo poderia ser m\u00fasica. \u00c0 semelhan\u00e7a de Cage, o que interessa ao artista, nas v\u00e1rias disciplinas, \u00e9 o modo como, como meios, podem \u201ccriar uma experi\u00eancia, seja visceral, conceptual ou de outro tipo, num ambiente determinado\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os meios ficam assim, ao servi\u00e7o das experi\u00eancias, e dos actos individuais do artista, que est\u00e3o bem presentes na obra de Bunga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como um dia ter\u00e1 dito Krauss, a nossa cultura ainda n\u00e3o se habituou a pensar de forma complexa, embora outras culturas o tenham feito com grande facilidade. Os labirintos s\u00e3o tanto arquitectura quanto escultura.
